Hudson Sandler Africa, one of the Continent’s leading strategic communications practices, continues to develop strongly with new hires and pan-African mandates.
Airtel Africa plc has appointed Hudson Sandler as its retained PR, IR and corporate communications agency across Africa and in the UK where it is now listed. Airtel Africa plc provides telecommunications and mobile money services across 14 markets in sub-Saharan Africa: Chad, Congo Brazzaville, Congo DRC, Gabon, Niger, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Malawi, Madagascar, Seychelles and Nigeria. Simon Crump will be joining Hudson Sandler’s Nairobi office as Associate Partner, Kenya. Simon is an Australian who has lived and worked across East Africa for many years, having worked previously at Portland in Nairobi and in house at the Alliance For A Green Revolution (“AGRA”). Having studied both agriculture and journalism at University he followed this up with stints working in the ABC Rural Department.As a result, Simon has a unique skill set combining formal education and practical application of agriculture and communications expertise.
He will be joined in Nairobi by Eugene Ng’ang’a, who comes on board as a Client Manager. Eugene was also previously at Portland and before that Porter Novelli and Oxegene. They will be joined in Lagos by Client Manager Nelly Akpaka, who has relocated from London after five years with Hudson Sandler where she worked on a wide variety of financial and corporate campaigns.
Hudson Sandler Africa’s growing franchise currently includes sovereign entities, NGOs, multilateral institutions, private companies as well as organisations listed on local and international stock exchanges including London and New York.
